Logos must always pass the AA accessibility standard set by the World Wide Web Consortium. You can use the WebAIM Contrast Checker to check the contrast of the logo against the background of your creative.
- Regular and small logos (18pt or below) must have a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 or higher.
- Large logos (18pt and above) must have a contrast ratio of 3:1 or higher
Both the wordmark and icon must pass the contrast ratio test to be used in any marketing collateral.

Use the monochromatic black logo on backgrounds with high contrast.

Don’t use the full-color logo on a background with too little contrast.

Use the monochromatic white logo on backgrounds with high contrast.

Don’t use the full-color logo on a background with too little contrast.
The same rules apply to photo backgrounds. When placing the logo on a photo background, the logo must be easy to see and read.
You can use the WebAIM Contrast Checker to test the contrast ratio by selecting a predominant color from the background image. Keep in mind that this approach won’t provide a perfect reading due to varying colors within the photo.

Use the full-color black logo on a background with high contrast.

Don’t use the full-color white logo on a background with too little contrast.

Minimum size
To ensure the YouTube logo is always legible, the icon should never appear smaller than the minimum size.
Digital minimum height
The icon should never be smaller than 20dp.
Print minimum height
The icon should never be smaller than 0.125 inches or 3.1mm.
Clear space
The amount of clear space around the logo must be equal to or greater than the size of the triangle within the icon.
Things to avoid
Always use the preferred logo or the provided alternate versions. Don’t change the artwork in any way.

Don’t skew the logo.

Don’t change the font type, spacing, or size of the wordmark.

Don’t stack the logo.
Endorsement lines
Endorsement lines let us provide brand attribution for partnerships and brand relationships without having to use a full logo.
When you use an endorsement line, make sure it’s easy to read. Be sure to follow the clear space and minimum size standards for the logo.
If the endorsement line needs to be smaller than the logo minimum size standards allow, the endorsement should be written as plain text in the Roboto regular typeface.
One-line endorsement
Stacked endorsement
Plain text endorsement
Copy variations
Endorsement lines are use-case specific. These variations should cover most marketing needs.
The amount of words before the YouTube Premium wordmark dictate how the endorsement line is capitalized:
- If there are two or more words before the wordmark, capitalize the first letter of the first word (ex: Only with YouTube Premium).
- If there is only one word before the wordmark, lowercase the entire word (ex: by YouTube Premium)
Partner lockups
Keep these guidelines in mind for building partner lockups with the YouTube Premium logo.
Color
Stick to monochromatic (white or black) logos. Since logos come in all different shapes, colors, and sizes, it can be hard to balance two or more logos in a single piece of creative. Monochromatic versions can help the logos feel united.
Sizing
When sizing logos, try to match the text x-height or cap height. While it may not work in every case, this rule helps different logos look good together. The recommended space between partner logos is equal to the width of the YouTube icon.
Clear space
Clear space is determined by the height of the triangle in our icon. This is the minimum amount of clear space allowed around the lockup.
Stacked placement
When stacking partner logos, the recommended distance between logos is equal to the width of the YouTube icon turned 90 degrees.
